“We created a recycling station with a bin dedicated to Little Bites® packaging in the lunch room, and a station in the hallway where kids can drop off their collections every day when they enter the school,” said Franklin School PTA's Gabriella Pereira. “Children need to see, hear and feel to learn and remember things. "I have been a keen recycler for many years, but making a pledge always makes you go that extra mile. I’ve made it a point to not only use TerraCycle® to recycle what I could in my own surroundings, but pick up waste from public places when I saw something,” said Kirsten Kristensen. “I also spread awareness about the Entenmann’s® Little Bites® program. This is such a fun and meaningful way to help the world be a better and greener place.”
Tracy Dillon, kindergarten teacher at Washington School in North Arlington, New Jersey
“I always tell my students that recycling is so important and everyone can help make the world a better place!”
Bin Design Contest
TerraCycle’s award-winning, in-house design team chose Three Bridges School's creative collection bin as the most creative collection bin designed and submitted for this promotion.
Quote from Ed Dubroski of Three Bridges School:
“Students at Three Brides Elementary School love to eat Entenmann’s® Little Bites®. Our school focuses on sustainability and educating our students on protecting our planet. We are very excited that TerraCycle® recycles Little Bites® pouches. Thank you for helping us be responsible when eating the foods we love!”
Carrollton Public Library collected the most pouches during the promotion timeline.
Quote from Patricia Tilley, Director of the Carrollton Public Library:
“It was a real surprise to hear that we had won the Grand Prize in your contest. We were simply trying to help keep trash out of the landfill and help our community at the same time.
Numerous people in our community, working on behalf of the Library and the Soup Kitchen, have cooperated in the recycling program you offer for mutual benefit.
The way we see it, our participation in this program helps feed the mind and the body."
